Nestled in the West Bay district of Grand Cayman is an area of blackened shards of rock known as Hell. The rocks are a blend of limestone and dolomite estimated to be more than a million years old. The extreme erosion that produced its surreal landscape is due to the activities of small tropical organisms. The area has its own post office that will stamp your correspondence with a Hell postmark. The photo opportunities are numerous, so be certain to have your camera ready.
